Microwave accelerated aza-Claisen rearrangement.
A study of microwave-induced and standard thermal Overman rearrangement of selected allylic trichloroacetimidates 1a-1f, 6-8 to the corresponding acetamides 2a-2f, 9-11 is reported. The microwave-assisted rearrangement of trifluoroacetimidate 13 is also described. Using this methodology, an efficient access to versatile allylic trihaloacetamides building synthons was established.
متن کاملUnified synthesis of caged Garcinia natural products based on a site-selective Claisen/Diels-Alder/Claisen rearrangement.
A unified synthetic strategy toward caged Garcinia natural products has been designed and implemented. Central to the strategy is a tandem Claisen/Diels-Alder/Claisen rearrangement of a suitably substituted xanthone precursor to form forbesione (1a). Serving as a template, forbesione is then used to deliver representative members of this family, including desoxygaudichaudione A (4), desoxymorel...
متن کاملSynthesis of cycloheptanoid natural products via tandem 5-exo cyclization/Claisen rearrangement process.
This article describes the development of microwave-assisted oxyanionic 5-exo-dig cyclization-Claisen rearrangement sequence as a convenient "one-pot" route to a variety of seven-membered carbocyclic ring systems. This process was used as the key transformation for the construction of several natural products, including frondosins A, B, and C.
متن کاملPropargyl Claisen rearrangement: allene synthesis and beyond.
The propargyl Claisen rearrangement is a known protocol to gain access to functionalized allenes through the [3,3]-sigmatropic transformation of propargyl vinyl ethers. The correct use of appropriate propargyl vinyl ethers as starting materials coupled with suitable reaction conditions can aid in the development of new domino methodologies in which the allenes are valuable intermediates in rout...
متن کاملDouble decarboxylative Claisen rearrangement reactions: microwave-assisted de novo synthesis of pyridines.
Microwave-assisted double decarboxylative Claisen rearrangement of bis(allyl) 2-tosylmalonates provides substituted 1,6-heptadienes, which may be alkylated, and then converted into pyridines by ozonolysis followed by reaction with ammonia generated in situ under microwave conditions.
